The Meaning of the Holy Trinity

Although the word Trinity cannot be found in the Bible, it is common knowledge that it contains the meaning that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are the same God. For ages, many believers have had difficulty understanding this concept, but the Bible confirms this principle with precision.

According to prophecy, God the Father Jehovah came as God the Son in the flesh. Though the Pharisees and teachers of the law did not believe, Jesus made it clear to them.

“I and the Father are one.”

John 10:33

Some may try to force their own interpretation to these words, but it is very clear—Jesus is Jehovah. Not only Jesus, but also His disciples testified the same thing.

“And we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.”

1 John 5:20

If Jesus and Jehovah were separate entities, Jesus would not have said they were one, and He would not have been described as God. We can also see that God the Father and God the Holy Spirit are one.

"The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God."

1 Corinthians 2:10–11

Little explanation is needed to clarify that God the Father is the Holy Spirit. Lastly, Jesus and the Holy Spirit should be one.

"My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One."

1 John 2:1

"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

John 14:26

Thus, Jesus is the Holy Spirit. When we understand the Trinity correctly, we can understand God who appears in the flesh to bring salvation. The World Mission Society Church of God believes in the Trinity according to the testimonies of the Bible.
