Women’s Veil

The Women’s Veil in Worship

In every World Mission Society Church of God worldwide, female members wear veils during worship, a practice rooted in the Early Church.

"Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head."

1 Corinthians 11:1–6

The teaching on the veil regulation was unequivocal in the Church of God, emphasizing that women should wear veils as a symbol of authority, while men should not. Although this practice may differ from that of mainstream churches, it is a cherished command of God. This is a teaching that should not be considered as unfamiliar or alien.

“… I wrote for them the many things of my law, but they regarded them as something alien.”

The use of the veil in worship is viewed as a precious command that reflects the love of God’s people towards their Creator. We should worship how God wants us to worship, in accordance with His law. In this way, we can show true reverence and respect towards God.

"If you love me, keep my commands."
