God the Mother, the Last Eve
“‘... Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.’”
Adam represents Jesus Christ — the One to come. But there’s also the Last Adam, the one to come in the last days. In other words, the Last Adam represents second coming Christ. But why does Christ need to come a second time?
“The first man Adam became a living being, the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.”
Second Coming Christ will appear like Adam and give eternal life to the world. Through the story of Adam, we can see how.
“The Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called “woman” for she was taken out of man.’”
Adam is the one who revealed Eve, the one who gives life. This is a prophecy that Second Coming Christ would reveal the spiritual Eve, God the Mother, the One who gives us spiritual life.
“Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.”
