Christ Ahnsahnghong in the Bible

Q: Who is Ahnsahnghong?

A: After attending a service or a Bible study at the Church of God, one is likely to hear about Christ Ahnsahnghong. You may ask yourself, “Who is Ahnsahnghong?” According to Bible prophecies, Christ Ahnsahnghong is Second Coming Jesus.

Jesus declared that, upon His return to the earth, He would have a new name (Rev 3:12). However, it is imperative that we study Bible prophecies to recognize Him when He returns.

About 2,000 years ago, when Jesus appeared for the first time, He testified about Himself through the Scriptures.

“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself [Jesus].”

Jesus taught His disciples about Himself through the scriptures. At this time, the New Testament had not been written yet, so the scriptures mean the Old Testament. Interestingly, Jesus’ name does not appear in the Old Testament. Then, how did He testify about Himself? He did so through the fulfillment of Bible prophecies.

According to Jesus’ teachings, His body and blood serve as the seal, promised through the New Covenant Passover (Jn 6:27, 53–56). Following its abolition in A.D. 325, the New Covenant Passover was reinstated in the East, specifically in South Korea, by Christ Ahnsahnghong.

“Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”

Additionally, whenever the apostles, such as Paul and Philip, testified about Jesus, they also used the scriptures (Ac 8:35, 17:2–3). We can recognize Second Coming Christ in the same way—through the testimony of the Bible.

By studying the prophecies concerning Christ’s Second Coming, one can be fully convinced that Ahnsahnghong is Jesus Christ who has come a second time.
