The Holy City Jerusalem
“‘Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! Put on your garments of splendor, Jerusalem, the holy city … rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, Daughter Zion, now a captive … You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed.’”
Isaiah 52:1–3
The above verse says that when the Holy City, Jerusalem puts on her garments of splendor and sits enthroned, the people of Zion in captivity will be redeemed. This means God’s salvation is accomplished through Jerusalem.
Holy City Jerusalem appears to fulfill prophecy in the last days.
“I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride”
Revelation 21:2
“Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb ...”
Revelation 21:9–10
“But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.”
Galatians 4:26
