On Sunday, June 15, 2025, ASEZ WAO volunteers organized a major cleanup along Greenwich Road in Virginia Beach as part of the organization’s global Green Earth Campaign, which focuses on protecting the environment through action. More than 75 volunteers, including families and individuals of all ages, participated. Since the event was on Father’s Day, many families served together, creating a meaningful way to give back.
The cleanup took place in collaboration with the Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation Department. Through this partnership, volunteers followed city guidelines and cleanup standards. Teams focused on heavily littered sections of Greenwich Road. By the end of the event, volunteers collected 45 full bags of trash. The cleanup highlighted ASEZ WAO’s commitment to environmental responsibility and encouraged the community to take pride in their surroundings.
Families Serve on Father’s Day
Families found the experience especially rewarding. Parents taught children the importance of caring for the environment, and through hands-on service, families demonstrated responsibility, teamwork, and environmental stewardship. Volunteers shared that contributing to the community added purpose to the holiday and created lasting memories.
A Meaningful Day of Service
The strong turnout also reflected growing support for environmental action in Hampton Roads. Community members expressed appreciation for the cleaner and safer roadway. ASEZ WAO sincerely thanked all volunteers for their time and dedication, as well as the Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation Department for their continued support. Together, volunteers and partners took meaningful steps toward a cleaner, greener future.
