Satan deceived God’s people to keep them from returning to heaven, abolishing the Sabbath and Passover and introducing sun-god customs like Sunday worship and Christmas. In contrast, the Church of God wholeheartedly observes God’s appointed days, the Sabbath and Passover. In the age of the Holy Spirit, Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother teach that by keeping the new covenant, we can serve God alone, receive forgiveness of sins, and return to the eternal kingdom of heaven (Leviticus 18:3–5).
